One year - One Million Players

Lonely Mountains: Downhill was initially released on October 23rd in 2019. During its first year, the game has had great success amongst players and the critiques; this has resulted in more than one million players (1,2 million as of September 2020) and winning awards like “Best Indie Game” at the German Developer Awards and “Best International Indie Game” at Poznan Game Arena.

“The way the game has been received during this past year has touched us more deeply than we anticipated. Not only was the number of positive reviews and loving feedback from the community overwhelming, but we know that for some riders, the Lonely Mountains were more than a just game”, says Daniel Helbig and Jan Bubenik, developers at Megagon Industries. “We’ve had players saying that the game brought them a place to retreat to during these challenging times the world has faced lately. It’s beautiful to see that our game has found its place in the heart of so many players.”
