Scalpers flood reseller sites with astronomically-priced copies of the Fire Emblem 30th Anniversary Edition

Here we go again

Pre-orders for the absolutely gorgeous Fire Emblem 30th Anniversary Edition package have gone live, and they seemed to be complete spoken for everywhere. This is a limited-time offer with an even more limited amount, so it's no surprise to see them get snatched up quickly. It also seems this is going to be a one-and-done batch, so if you don't get it this time, you may never pick it up.

Unfortunately, scalpers have once again swooped in and snagged a bunch of copies to put up on reseller sites. Listings have surfaced on eBay, Amazon, and others, and they're showing the game with a $140 to $150 price tag. This has been a real problem lately, thanks to some limited runs of products from Nintendo. With customers having little other option to choose from, these scalpers are likely to win out again.

FUCK scalpers. It took forever for the Super Mario Bros. Game & Watch preorders to go live in the US, and of course I got tired of checking every single day and missed my window of opportunity to get one. Now Nintendo announces this Fire Emblem package out of nowhere, the preorders went up almost immediately, and my punishment for being a loyal Nintendo customer who unfortunately can't be glued to the internet 24/7 is once again a product I can't have.

Game & Watch 100% hasn't gone up in the U.S. yet.

It hasn't released yet, but the preorders did go up, and sold out almost immediately:
