That is an absolutely atrocious debut for Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring The Legend of Zelda. Even the Zelda name couldn't help save it.

You literally have no context to make that claim. It wouldn't have gotten a physical release at all if it didn't perform well enough on it's own the first time around, and we don't know the scale of this release.

Thats generally how it goes when people look at sales because it's easier to make a huge fuss than to actually take into consideration any additional factors. Unlike this person's suggestion, Zelda doesn't sell huge numbers in Japan, BotW notwithstanding, the game rather old at this point and has been on sale multiple times in Japan, making this an extremely premium version solely for physical collectors, and the game had a very quiet launch with extremely low shipments in the US which is probably reflected here in Japan as well. Late versions of games already dont sell well in Japan at retail as it is without all the other contributing factors.
