Dead by Daylight "A Binding of Kin" Chapter and holiday content launch today, Freddy Krueger makes his way to Switch

It's a very big day for Dead by Daylight fans. Today marks the start of a new chapter, the launch of holiday content, and Freddy Krueger finally makes his way to Switch. Check out full details on all of those topics in the press release below!

BehaviourTM Interactive is excited to launch today the newest chapter for its hit asymmetrical horror game Dead by DaylightTM: A Binding of Kin on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Steam, Windows Store, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

This Chapter marks the first time a unique killer is comprised of two characters that can each be controlled individually. This killer is known as The Twins. Born in 17th century France, conjoined twins Charlotte and Victor Deshayes grew in a world that would be cruel and relentless in its pursuit to destroy them. Watching their mother being burned alive was only the beginning: being captured by a cult and living in sewers as pariahs developed their disdain for humanity. Victor, still attached to his sister’s body had died and was rotting away when a thick Fog enveloped them and miraculously, he detached from her and started running towards the unknown. The Entity had summoned them for all eternity.

The new Survivor is Élodie Rakoto. Smart, cunning and defiant, Élodie grew in Paris but her heart remained in her parents’ home country of Madagascar. During a trip to Dyer Island her parents mysteriously disappeared into the Abyss. Élodie would spend the next 14 years diving into the occult; searching for an explanation. Through her valuable research she became of interest to The Black Vale, a group of occult fanatics. As she was trying to escape their hold, she felt herself falling into...the Abyss.

To celebrate the release of this chapter, the Holiday Horror Collection is expanding its offerings with two very rare outfits for the newest Killer and Survivor, including a fun reindeer-themed onesie for Élodie. A legendary set for The Trapper will also be released. Don’t forget to ring in the Holidays with a stocking full of cheer and horror thanks to new and festive cosmetics for Dwight, Ace, Zarina, Claudette and Jake.

Finally, the Dead by Daylight’s Advent Calendar will take place starting today to help bring in the Holiday cheer. Every day until January 2nd, 2021, players will be able to take advantage of in-game gifts including ugly sweaters, Holiday-themed charms and more!

A New Content Drop for The Realm Beyond

The graphical update continues as part of The Realm Beyond campaign. This time, the team has reviewed the five maps of the Autohaven Wreckers, as well as snowy Ormond. The totem, the hatch and the flashlight have also been vastly improved. This update is available for free to all players, on every platform.

Iconic Killer Freddy Krueger available on more platforms

The Killer and Survivor from the iconic Nightmare on Elm Street Chapter are now available on PS5, Stadia, Switch and the Windows Store. Freddy Krueger, known in Dead by Daylight as The Nightmare truly is evil personified. Having escaped death, he comes back again and again to Springwood Ohio to fulfill his nefarious duty and enact revenge. Survivor Quentin Smith defeated The Nightmare in his endeavors. He became his target and in turn, decided to face Freddy, once and for all. Sweet dreams.
