Dear Reader:
Recent leak showcases early Nintendo Switch design dated back to 2014, may have been planned to have StreetPass at one point
Nintendo won't be happy. More stuff leaked just now. Switch private keys and many documents. One document reveals the Switch's design in 2014 and it is eerily similar to that one hoax that was floating around and got traction years back. pic.twitter.com/fFddJvXbpq

A recent leak reveals that Nintendo had begun development on the Nintendo Switch at least since 2014, and the name "Nintendo Switch" had been decided for the system at that time. Some other information from the leak reveals that Nintendo may have considered 3DS backwards compatibility at some point, and 3DS features such as StreetPass and SpotPass were considered at one point for the system.
Also, as a bit an interesting tidbit, this image was found in Nintendo's internal files regarding amiibo:
Found the funny image everyone likes. It's in a folder on amiibo stuff.

Also, found an interesting briefing on attempts at amiibo security! It seems NERD had to discourage Nintendo from putting security signatures in amiibo because of how easy they'd be to dump and exploit... pic.twitter.com/lSDJye5HvL
