UK software sales for the week ending Dec. 26th, 2020, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sees its biggest sales year so far

Here's a really interesting stat for you. Over in the UK, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has had its best yearly sales yet. The game may have launched back in 2017, but 2020 saw it get more sales than any other year. It just goes to show why Nintendo keeps promoting the game in commercials and sticking it in bundles!

As for the weekly sales, the data for the week ending Dec. 26th, 2020 are below. Remember, this data is just for boxed copies, as digital sales are not reported.

- FIFA 21 reclaimed the UK top spot, with sales rising by 8%
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons rose to No.3 despite sales falling 20% week-on-week
- Mario Kart 8: Deluxe jumps to No.4 despite an 8% dip
- Just Dance 2021 is up one place to No.7 despite a 28% sales slide
- Super Mario 3D All-Stars is up one to No.9 with sales down 25%
- Minecraft on Switch is up one to 10 after a sales fall of 26%
- Mario Kart 8: Deluxe has enjoyed its biggest year so far
