Cat Mario and Cat Peach amiibo functionality in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury recapped

The Cat Mario and Cat Peach amiibo were revealed some time ago, and now we know they're launching day-and-date with Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, which is due out on Feb. 12th, 2021. Nintendo also shared details on what each amiibo will do in the game.
Scanning in Cat Mario will turn you into the invincible White Cat Mario if you're having some trouble, and using the Cat Peach amiibo will drop random power-ups into the game.
