Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World hits Switch in Japan on April 22nd, 2021, new trailer released

What a world it is!

Publisher G Choice and developer Studio Artdink have confirmed that Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World is going to launch for Switch in Japan on April 22nd, 2021. There will be a standard retail “Special Pack” editions for 3,980 yen and 5,980 yen. The Special Pack includes a collector’s box, two art books (one 80 pages, one 40 pages), and a copy of the game. Of course, there will also be a digital version for 3,480 yen.

A lot of people have real love for Monster World IV, and I played it and beat like 10 years ago I'd guess, but I found it more linear and less creative than previous games in the Monster World sub-series. That's just me apparently though.

That said, this remake looks like it has had a lot of real effort put into it. It almost looks like Shantae, if Shantae were made by a Japanese studio.

Artdink are apparently the devs. Their work has been hit or miss. Hopefully they'll just at least be able to nail the controls and make it run smoothly.
