Nintendo says they're continuing to work on non-video game initiatives to expand the reach of their IP

Get ready for more unique ideas!

Nintendo is and will forever be known for their video games. They'll continue to make hardware and software, as that's their bread and butter. That said, the Big N is expanding the reach of their IP through different areas as well. More merch collabs, movies, Universal Studios' theme park, and more. More of that expansion outside of video games is on the way, according to Nintendo's most recent financial report.

We are also conducting various other initiatives, as we continue to work to expand the number of people who have access to Nintendo IP, both through and beyond our dedicated video game platform business.

Of course, Nintendo stops short of giving any hint as to what we're going to see from them outside of video games. We'll just have to remain patient and wait for Nintendo to pull back the curtain.

The vitality sensor lives, but is reprogrammed to test for COVID. And if you test positive, that audio clip of Mario saying "Ohh noo!!" plays.

I was just wondering if that business with Astral Chain was the lead-up to something like this. It seems like a pretty good property if they wanted to experiment with licensing something out to make a Netflix series.

Seeing that store makes me want them to make more Nintendo stores. I'm far away from ALL of them.

Hmm, Nintendo arent the ones making Pokemon sleep, but since we havent heard anything about that in a while, they might be working on exclusive beds where pokemon sleep gets better data or something (just throwing something out there).
