Not exactly the happiest news to wake up to in the morning. I know it hurts…but we can work through it! Trust me, March 9th will be here before you know it. I am going to go cry myself to sleep…I’ll catch you guys in a few hours. Try to have a nice morning!

Well, it unfortunately came true. What we marked as rumor for the last couple weeks was confirmed by Nintendo last night. Super Smash Bros. Brawl has indeed been delayed, and will now hit NA on March 9th. That puts it one full month after the last marked release date. The debate raged on for awhile, with those that believed the delay would happen, and those that disputed the information. I think that no matter what side you were on, a large majority of Wii owners weren’t looking forward to a delay. Now we have to deal with this reality, which I know is a hard-to-swallow fact for many.

I wanted to open up and ‘End of day’ thoughts section for you guys. I usually ask you to comment on the thoughts that I post up, but I am dedicating this one completely to you. I’m giving you a place to say whatever it is you want about the Brawl delay. If you are upset, go ahead and tell us. If you think the delay is a good thing, we’d like to hear that too. Basically, if you have anything at all to say on the delay subject, we’d love to have you comment on it. The only thing I ask is that you do not attack your fellow readers. Also, you are very welcome to voice your frustrations, but please do so in a tasteful manner. An expletive-laden post doesn’t do anyone a bit of good. If you completely fly off the handle on both parts, I’ll have to come back later today and hand out some punishments. Other than those two rules, feel free to let it all out.

“The launch date for Super Smash Bros. Brawl has shifted a few weeks to March 9. The development is taking slightly longer than expected. As we’re sure you have seen on the Dojo site (www.SmashBros.com), the game contains an unprecedented number of characters, options and experiences. Be sure to keep an eye on the Dojo site for the latest information.” - Nintendo representative
