Man, a day in the city can really take it out of you. Just getting into the city via train is quite a process from where we live. Then, just walking around and all that, keeping tabs on the family and friends…it’s exhausting. It doesn’t help that I’m a bit plump, either! All combinations of things have put me in the mood for some Zs. I’ll catch you guys in a few hours. Sleep late, it’s the weekend. You had a long, hard week…you’ve earned the rest!

As you guys know, I went out to Video Games Live just a few hours ago. We have taken in a million shows before, but this time I got to take some family members. I have cousins, aunts, and other family members who are into gaming. They don’t really have the option of chasing VGL down wherever they go, but the NYC presented an opportunity for them to attend. I was really excited for them to check out the show. From what I hear, everyone absolutely loved the program. My parents seemed to really get a kick out of it. My Mom is a gamer, so she knew a good amount of the music. My Dad is not a gamer, but that may change after tonight. He said that a few times during the show, he really felt like he should get into video games…like he was missing out on something big. He just couldn’t get over how fantastic the music was. Hopefully, a future ‘EoD’ thought will be all about my Dad’s full transition to hardcore gamer.

So yes, once again, VGL was fantastic. That wasn’t the best part of the night, though. I can’t even begin to express how wonderful it was getting to meet up with site readers and podcast listeners. I met soooooooo many of you guys tonight, and it is always a humbling experience. I don’t know if you guys planned it, but it seemed like all of the nicest GoNintendo visitors came to VGL tonight . Every single person I talked to was so friendly, I couldn’t get over it. It is so strange being recognized for my work on the site…I always feel like there are people much, much MUCH more worth your time! Still, I do appreciate the thank-yous and all that. It means so much to hear that someone appreciates the work you do. It puts a smile on my face, and a tear in my eye…and I mean that. I work so hard on all of this, but nights like tonight make it all worth it.

For anyone that was at the show tonight and said something, thank you so much. It was 1000000000% my pleasure to meet you. I owe my everything to you guys. Even if you weren’t at the show, I still owe all my successes to you. I hope that somehow, some way, I can be lucky enough to meet each and every one of you, and treat you with the respect/admiration that you deserve. You’ve made a world for me, when I never expected anything like it to happen. It is my absolute honor to have you in that world every day, and bring you all that I can to make your visits the best that they can be.

Please, anyone that met up last night and took pics, shoot me an email! I would love to put together a set on Flickr just to have one more way to remember the night. I hope to hear from all of you!
