We've got all sorts of hands-on details for Nintendo's upcoming slate of games in today's show. We got to check out Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, Metroid: Samus Returns and more. Have a listen to see what we think!
UPDATE: ...and done. All URLs should redirect to https now. There's still some more work to do to get the site 100% over to SSL, but that'll be implemented over time through this evening and Sunday. If you've made it this far, you should be golden. Though there may be times when the site logs you out due to my tweaks so... sorry. Hit me up with anyone experiences issues.
T27duck here [Avoids tomatoes being thrown at him] with a quick heads up.
The server GoNintendo and GoingSony is going to head into a maintenance period a little after 6PM ET. Hopefully I'll be done with my work no later than 7PM. The site may be unresponsive or just flat out broken until I'm done.
If all goes eventually well, the plan is to switch the whole site over to SSL. You may be logged out of the site and will have to log back in when the maintenance is over.
Feel free to hit me up on Twitter @t27duck if you have issues after the maintenance is complete.
Want to check out some footage of GoNNER running on Switch? How about some footage of me playing for the first time, complete with commentary? If any of that tickles your fancy, I've got a video that's right up your alley!
E3 may be over, but there's still plenty of news for us to cover. Nicky Hill joins the show once again, as we dive into another round of E3 interviews and game details. We also talk about some site-specific news, play music trivia and act like idiots!
Some games are just made for Parents Play episodes. Their mechanics lead themselves to all sorts of wonderful moments. Death Squared is one of those games. Please enjoy over 20 mins of footage from the Switch version of Death Squared, brought to you by my parents. Watching them try to tackle single player through co-op is a thing of absolute beauty.
Honest answers, no worries about hurting my feelings. If I did a Patreon with some exclusive vids/articles, would you be a patron?— GoNintendoTweet (@GoNintendoTweet) June 21, 2017
Just like the tweet above says, I'm just looking to gauge interest. I've had people telling me I should do one for years now, but I never feel right about doing it. I wanted to hear your input. Please take a second to vote in the poll above. Also, feel free to let me know specifics in the comments below. Honestly, do not feel bad about telling me why you would/wouldn't support. As always, I'm looking for constructive feedback either way.
Also, just to clarify, I would never, EVER put news articles/interviews/reviews/previews behind a pay-gate. You have my word on that. Exclusive articles would just be opinion pieces on games and other stuff, and behind-the-scenes updates on GN itself. Those would also be available on regular GN without paying, just at a later date.
Wondering what's inside the gorgeous retail packaging for Cave Story+? Our friends at Nicalis let us take a sneak peek, which we showed off during yesterday's podcast!
It's the wrap-up podcast for E3 2017! So much to cover in just one show. We go over all the great stuff Nintendo revealed at this year's E3, and also take a look at what the other companies had to offer. We also do a special unboxing as well! Hope you enjoy!
