Minecraft: The End: An Official Minecraft Novel now available

Dive deep into Minecraft lore

Looking to read a bit of Minecraft lore when you're not playing? Minecraft: The End: An Official Minecraft Novel has just released, and it should fit the bill quite nicely.

The brand-new official Minecraft novel is an epic battle for survival! When humans enter the End, a pair of endermen must decide which side they’re really on.

For as long as they can remember, the twin endermen Fin and Mo have lived in the mysterious land of the End. On the outskirts of the great enderman city of Telos, they explore ancient ruins under the watchful gaze of the mighty ender dragon. They have everything they need in the end ship they call home, and know everything there is to know about their world—or so they think until the strangers from another dimension arrive.

The invaders are called humans, and they’ve come to steal artifacts and slay the ender dragon. Fin and Mo are ready to protect their home from the trespassers, but when they come face-to-face with the humans, they discover that they aren’t as prepared for battle as they’d thought. Caught off guard, the twins are trapped in the middle of a war between the endermen and the humans, with the future of their home at stake.

If you want to learn even more about the novel before making a purchase, you can check out an interview with the author over on the official Minecraft website.

Buzzy Bees and the Holiday update coming to Minecraft on Dec. 11th, 2019

What's the buzz all about?

Buzzy Bees were announced for Minecraft awhile ago, but now we know when they'll be added. Along with the holiday update, we can expect Buzzy Bees on Dec. 11th, 2019. Check out the full details below.

No need to flutter about, I’ll get straight to the good stuff – Buzzy Bees, our upcoming Holiday update, and all the new features that come with it, are coming to Minecraft on December 11th! The bee’s big debut is cause for celebration, so we’re kicking off a whole bunch of bee-themed initiatives ahead of the big day. Hold on to your antennae, because we’ve got a lot of unbelievable content coming your way!

Do you want to learn even more about bees? Well, we’ve got just the live stream for you. We’ll be hosting live streams based in the US, Brazil, and Australia on December 6th through 8th (check the handy schedule below for more details).

We’re also going to have a community challenge running from December 13th through 15th! Want to know more about that exciting challenge and the sweet rewards it will bring? You’re gonna have to keep an eye on our Twitter account and, of course, Minecraft.net for more news.

You may be reaching the end of this article and wondering, why all the fuss about bees? Well, not only are bees critically important to our ecosystem, they’re also in danger of steep decline. That’s why we’ve partnered with WWF to help out the star of the show, the mighty and humble bee, by raising money for WWF’s efforts to protect bees and other important species. There are three ways you can help us support WWF’s conservation work: donate during the live stream, purchase the cutest merchandise this side of the Overworld (available on Friday!), or purchase the Character Creator Bumblebee costume in the Minecraft Marketplace. We'll be donating a percentage (62.5% to be exact) of those proceeds directly to WWF! To kick off these initiatives on behalf of the beloved bee, Mojang will be giving a $100,000 donation to WWF.

We’re excited to bring bees into Minecraft, but also to help protect the bees right here on the Earth that we all share. Let’s celebrate the bees before they arrive in Minecraft on December 11th by taking part in the exciting events we have planned!

Frozen adventure map now available in Minecraft

A visit to Arendelle

We’re going to Arendelle! Before you start packing your dramatic caped gowns and gloves, this Arendelle is much blockier than you may have remembered. In this world, made by Noxcrew, you’ll be part of all the action and adventure that will make you feel like you’re as much a part of Frozen as Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven!

Earn rewards by playing mini-games and completing puzzles, then head back to decorate the castle with your friends. All while enjoying some of your favourite Frozen songs, of course. Careful where you play the game though because sing-screaming “For the First Time in Forever” while wearing noise-cancelling headphones on a public bus is generally frowned upon. Not that I would know from experience. You try and listen to that song without singing along! It’s harder than you think!

Don’t forget to pick up this one-of-a-kind Frozen adventure, now in the Minecraft Marketplace! Hoo-hoo!
