Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy - Deluxe Edition gets Switch ESRB rating

I'd say that makes things 100% confirmed

One of the worst-kept secrets in recent game industry history has just been confirmed yet again. The ESRB just added a listing for Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy - Deluxe Edition on the Switch. We already had a very good idea that the game was seeing release outside of Japan, and now we have confirmation that a physical version is on the way. All that's left is the PR from Level-5!

Thanks to Dondom95 for the heads up!

Layton Mystery Agency ~Katrielle’s Mystery Files~ set for Netflix release

But will it get localized?

Here's something we know for a fact. Layton Mystery Agency ~Katrielle’s Mystery Files~ is going to appear on Netflix at some point. Netflix is listed as a sponsor in the end credits from the series' finale. What we don't know is what versions of Netflix the series will appear on.

We're hoping this means a localization is in the works, and the series will get to see release on Netflix all throughout the world. It would make a lot of sense to have the anime appear alongside the Switch version of Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and The Millionaires’ Conspiracy, which is rumored for localization. We'll just have to keep our fingers/toes crossed for confirmation on both soon.

RUMOR - Localization site mentions Profesor Layton and the Curious Village port for Switch

Going back to where it all started?

Well here's an interesting find. Profesor Layton and the Curious Village seems like it's going to get an HD port to the Switch. This information comes from the G4F-Localization, which looks to handle various localization jobs for projects. The listing specifically mentions translation into Italian, German, and Spanish.

This goes along with previous hints of Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and The Millionaires’ Conspiracy DX getting localized as well. Once again, this site makes mention of localization plans for the title, which would mark the second time we've seen indication of the Switch version leaving Japan.

Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy Deluxe Edition gets rated for release in Germany

Looks like our patience is going to pay off on this one, gang. A German USK rating has just popped up for Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy Deluxe Edition on Switch. This likely means that the game is going to see a worldwide release on the platform. Nice to know Katrielle is going to get another shot at finding success, and breathing some new life into the franchise.

Thanks to Sligeach_eire for the heads up!

That guy with the greenish/brownish hair is freaking me out, and he's been freaking me out for weeks now. Something about his eyes are making me really uncomfortable. I'm not the only one, right?!

Layton Mystery Agency ~Katrielle’s Mystery Files~ - Ep. 23 promo video

We're nearing the end of the first season for Layton Mystery Agency ~Katrielle’s Mystery Files~. I'm still hoping the series will get released in the West somehow, even if just through a streaming service with subtitles. I definitely want to check it out!

Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and The Millionaires’ Conspiracy DX - Another Japanese commercial

Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and The Millionaires’ Conspiracy DX had a pretty abysmal debut in Japan. I don't know that there's anything that can turn it around, but Level-5 is clearly trying. Let's hope this game has a chance to come to the states, where the Switch-owning audience might be more likely to give it a go.

Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and The Millionaires’ Conspiracy DX - Famitsu print ad

I feel pretty bad for Level-5. They can't seem to find an audience for Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and The Millionaires’ Conspiracy no matter what platform they put it on. It didn't get any love on 3DS or mobile, and the Switch debut sales were 10% of initial stock on day one. Looks like this one is destined to be looked over no matter what.
