Update available for InkyPen today

Bug fixes and free comics!

InkyPen, the first comic book subscription service exclusive to Nintendo Switch, now allows you to read from a growing selection of free comics as well as explore the catalogue on their device. Despite being a tiny indie outfit, InkyPen already has one of the largest all you can read subscription catalogs in the world and is growing fast!

A brand new patch has been added to the app today, fixing bugs and adding features including a selection of free comics and the ability to easily browse the catalog on the Nintendo Switch without subscribing or signing up.

An Ever-Growing Catalog

InkyPen keeps expanding adding another few hundred comics today from existing publishers with new publishers coming onboard in the weeks ahead. As for future additions, Ronan Huggard, CEO of InkyPen, confirms that expanding the Manga selection is the company's main priority. “We’re Manga fans like many of our users, and we are excited to be talking to many Manga publishers and hope to get more on board soon.”

The entire catalog could be consulted through the app, and also on the website, which has just released a totally renewed version: https://inky-pen.com/

InkyPen set to launch on Dec. 17th, 2018

InkyPen was introduced in March this year as the first global media application launching exclusively on Nintendo Switch, and the InkyPen catalogue has been growing ever since. Best-selling comics publishers like IDW, Valiant, Humanoids, Dynamite and Titan Comics were previously announced, and now three more publishers are joining them:

Dark Horse Comics, publishers of comics like Hellboy, Aliens, Mass Effect and The Witcher

Papercutz, publisher of graphic novels for kids such as The Smurfs, Hotel Transylvania and Dinosaur Explorers.

Archie Comics, publishers of comics like Archie, Riverdale, and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

InkyPen was founded by a group of indie game developers who are passionate about comics which is why they love independent creators as well. InkyPen is also adding well-known titles from the indie and webcomic scene such as Daniel Lieske’s The Wormworld Saga, Andrews McMeel Universal’s Sarah’s Scribbles, Pearls Before Swine, and Big Nate as well as Studio Foglio’s Girl Genius.

US comics, European comics, manga, and webcomics – thousands of comics will be available, including series such as Judge Dredd, Transformers, Robotech, X-O Manowar, Bloodshot, Metabarons, Pathfinder and Battlestar Galactica. InkyPen will also include comic adaptations of popular video game franchises such as Dark Souls, Dishonored, Tekken, and Assassin’s Creed.

Classic strips such as Peanuts, Garfield, and Calvin and Hobbes will also be available.

The goal is to create the best All-You-Can-Eat subscription service available for comic book fans of all kinds: newcomers and veterans alike.

“Given the price of comics, you get value within minutes reading them on InkyPen. This is great if you don’t want to buy loads of comics just to find out what you actually like.” - Ronan Huggard, InkyPen CEO

InkyPen will launch on the 17th of December 2018, available only in English (more languages will be added in 2019).
