2 Finger Death Punch

Toronto – February 26, 2020 – The greatest one-hit-wonder the world has ever seen has made his triumphant return to consoles now that One Finger Death Punch 2 is available on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch while also expanding its PC audience with its GOG availability.

“Seriously - we cannot stress enough how many times we have told the chosen one the term one-hit-wonder shouldn’t be anywhere in our marketing material, let alone a press release,” pleads Silver Dollar Games’ Jon Flook. “We begged him not to put it in today’s announcement, but his lawyers continue to remind us he can legally ‘One Finger Death Punch’ my brother and I at any time, especially when we least expect it. So we just gave up and let him describe the game however he likes, so long as he puts our quotes in verbatim.”

In One Finger Death Punch 2, players take on the role of the chosen one (AKA the white stick figure one-hit-wonder) as they fight through wave after wave of bad guys. Using their advanced martial arts techniques, various weapons, deadly skills, and surroundings, players can fight their way across over 400 levels, 15 level types, 4 endless survival modes, and two gauntlet run game modes all while helping the one-hit-wonder chosen one learn a total of 26 new skills.

“The original One Finger Death Punch was developed for the Xbox 360 using Microsoft XNA, which then was ported to PC and mobile devices,” says Flook. “It took a little over six years to make a sequel available for consoles, but we know those who enjoyed the original game will love it on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. It’s as fast-paced and crazy as they’d expect it to be.”

Give'm the finger!

The world's fastest brawler is back. Experience cinematic kung-fu in the most epic stickman fighter ever made. Staying true to the original, you play with only two buttons.

Simplicity to perfection.
To be played in bursts.
By design, there is no story.
Only crazy kung-fu.

You're surrounded, outnumbered and have to use any weapon you can get your hands on to dismantle your opponents in a flurry of kung fu. That's the essence of OFDP2, the world's fastest brawler. It features the original OFDP's unique two-button mechanics which we've spent the last five years perfecting. Speed and precision are key in this whirlwind fighting frenzy, as players maintain control over the 26 different unlockable skills, frenetic gameplay, and classic kung fu-inspired animations.

ATTACK LEFT or ATTACK RIGHT

We want to show that a fighting game can be complex without cumbersome button combinations. Once players complete the tutorial levels and learn the basics, they'll see that this is the most intense two-button game ever made.

With 1000 different animations available, literally, anything is possible—particularly when players unlock each of the 26 available skills. Having these skills available simultaneously is a major design challenge that encompasses the core of what OFDP2 is trying to achieve. Seeing the game with all 26 skills is a spectacle unique to OFDP2.
We built this game as a palette cleanser between other games in your library. It was designed to deliver a quick hit of adrenalin as fast as possible.

One Finger Death Punch 2 comes to Switch on Feb. 26th, 2020, and is priced at $9. The game will take up 2.6 GB of space.

One Finger Death Punch 2 Unleashed Onto PAX East 2019

Pull my finger

BOSTON – March 26, 2019 – Silver Dollar Games has sneaked into PAX East to Palm Strike unsuspecting attendees with its highly-anticipated sequel, One Finger Death Punch 2 (OFDP2). Those who take pride in their otherworldly reflexes are encouraged to appear at the Indie MEGABOOTH (booth #14084) where they can get a taste of the fast-paced action as they help the chosen one combat wave after wave of enemies.

“Technically, we didn’t “sneak” into PAX East as we had to register for the show, set up our demo stations, and announce via press release where we’re going to be and what we’re doing. This is probably the least stealthy method of attending a convention ever,” says Silver Dollar Games’ Jon Flook. “Also, we’re not really going to Palm Strike anyone who visits the booth. The only thing you’ll leave with after visiting us at the Indie MEGABOOTH is a code for an early access copy of One Finger Death Punch 2.”

Using advanced martial arts techniques, various weapons, deadly skills and surroundings, the chosen one can Eagle Claw their way through the tutorial and then Plum Flower Punch a handful of levels from the game’s first map. The PAX East demo serves as a dumpling-sized appetizer to the full OFDP2 experience. Couch-potato combatants can expect over 400 levels, 15 level types, 4 endless survival modes, and two gauntlet run game modes all while helping the chosen one learn a total of 26 new skills.

One Finger Death Punch 2 is releasing on Steam, Humble Store, and Kartridge on April 15th and is expected to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch in winter 2019. For more information, please visit OFDP2.com.
