King Boo and Luigi's Mansion being added to Mario Kart Tour

All hail King Boo!

Luigi was added to Mario Kart Tour the other day, and now the Luigi's Mansion track is officially on its way. It's the perfect time of the year to give it a go!

Along with the Luigi's Mansion track, you'll also be able to hunt down King Boo in the game! He's coming to tear up the track and take out the competition.

Luigi makes his way to Mario Kart Tour, just in time for the Halloween Cup

Luigi number 1

We knew he was on the way sometime this month, but we didn't know when. Nintendo has confirmed that Luigi is now available in Mario Kart Tour, just waiting for you to hop in and check him out. I know quite a few people were sad to see him not included at launch, so hopefully this makes up for it!

Remember, the Halloween Cup is kicking off in Mario Kart Tour on Oct. 22nd, 2019, and runs until Nov. 5th, 2019.

Mario Kart Tour was the third most-dowloaded mobile game in Q3 2019

A third place finish in just 7 days!

Mario Kart Tour launched late in Sept. 2019, and it came out of the starting gate with a huge burst of speed. According to Sensor Tower, the game rushed straight to the third position for most downloaded mobile games in Q3. Keep in mind that Q3 closed with the end of September, so that's an amazing feat! The game cranked out 86 million downloads in that short amount of time, but did not break into the top 100 grossing games.

Mario Kart Tour's Rosalina and Diddy Kong packs are pricey endeavors

Will you buy a Mario Kart character, or dinner for the family?

Mario Kart Tour got a major content update today, and with that comes some new character packs that you can pony up real cash for. Unfortunately, these packs require quite a hefty sum from the player. The Rosalina Pack is priced at £19.99, and includes 45 Ruby gems, Rosalina and five Star Tickets. The Diddy Kong Pack costs £38.99, and it includes 90 gems, Diddy Kong himself, and a Quick Ticket. Not exactly money you just drop into the game without considering its impact on your wallet!

The new Tokyo Tour in Mario Kart Tour has begun (official announcement)

Tokyo a go-go

The racers from Mario Kart Tour are headed to Tokyo! The Tokyo Tour is available in Nintendo’s new mobile game until Oct. 22 at 10:59 p.m. PT.

In addition to the recently announced Wario and Rosalina, even more familiar faces are joining the race during the Tokyo Tour, including Baby Rosalina and Bowser Jr. The two spotlight drivers for the Tokyo Tour are Peach (Kimono), who can be obtained until Oct. 15, and Mario (Hakama), who can be obtained from Oct. 15 to Oct. 22. Both are dressed to impress in traditional Japanese wear for the Tokyo Tour.
