IGN Video Review - Panzer Dragoon: Remake

"Panzer Dragoon: Remake is a cool window back to a neat little corner of video game history. With modernized graphics acting as rose-tinted glasses to make it more visually pleasing than the 1995 original, this is a neat little arcade shooter that keeps things exciting for an hour or two. It's just enough to make me wish that the developers had gone a little farther and built this remake up with more levels or, maybe, gambled on a fully modernized take on the original's simple concept."

Panzer Dragoon: Remake patch arriving in "a few days"

Soaring higher than ever

Panzer Dragoon: Remake heads to Japan on April 2nd, 2020

Panzer Dragoon: Remake launches in Europe and North America following last week's Nintendo Direct mini, but our friends in Japan have been in limbo since, wondering when the game would hit their region. Forever Entertainment has cleared up the confusion by confirming the game's launch date, which is lined up for April 2nd, 2020.

Panzer Dragoon: Remake's orchestrated soundtrack will be added via patch

We like the sound of that

Panzer Dragoon: Remake is available for Switch right now, and it certainly gives the game a sizable visual overhaul. When it comes to audio, the game uses the same soundtrack that was in the original Saturn launch, but another option is coming soon.

The developers have mentioned that an orchestrated version of the soundtrack is going to be added to the game via a patch sometime in the near future. This will be a re-imagining of the original soundtrack by Saori Kobayashi. Those who are grabbing the physical version of Panzer Dragoon: Remake will find that soundtrack option already included on the game card.
