The Switch already has a wealth of shmups to choose from, but fans of the genre in the West will have two more to check out sometime down the road.
In an interview with Nintendo Life, Terarin Games' Junichi Terayama confirms that both Missile Dancer and Gemini Arms are going to see release on Switch in the West. Both games are available on the Switch eShop in Japan right now, but a publishing deal is in the works to bring the games worldwide. When we have news on release dates, we'll be sure to share.
Publisher Regista and developer Terarin Games have announced their upcoming vertical-shooter "MissileDance" via a live listing on the Japanese eShop. Set for launch on June 25th 2020, you can check out the trailer for the game above, and a synopsis below!
This is a vertical scroll shooting game. You can operate the fighter MissileDancer which implements lock-on missiles.
The cursor for lock-on is displayed above your plane. While pushing the shot, the cursor zooms in. You can lock-on by matching the cursor with enemies. The range of cursor and the number of lock-on increases by taking the power-up item.
