ScourgeBringer has been updated to Version 1.0.4. Check out the patch notes for this update below.

– Enables 1080p 60fps in handheld mode.
– Fixes a crash when docking/undocking while the game is put to sleep.
– Fixes a possible soft-lock in Realm 6.

ScourgeBringer getting a physical release on Switch

Not many copies to go around

Deep Sliver and eastasiasoft are working on a physical release for ScourgeBringer, and there's going to be a standard and limited edition release. There will only be 2,000 copies of the limited edition, which includes the following.

– Collector’s box
– Game
– Manual
– Originals soundtrack
– Numbered certificate
– Minicase keychain

21st October 2020, Montpellier, France - Developer Flying Oak Games and publisher Dear Villagers (Recompile) just announced that the hit rogue-lite platformer ScourgeBringer launches today at 16:00 CEST on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Game Pass for Console and PC, Epic, GOG and launches out of Steam Early Access (PC, Mac, Linux) with a major launch content update.

To celebrate the launch the team also released a new animated release trailer.

About ScourgeBringer
ScourgeBringer aims to channel the mystery and rawness of an early rogue-platformer, with fluid control, aerial combat, pixel graphics and a punchy soundtrack. The story follows hero Kyhra, who is sent away to uncover the secrets of an Eldritch monolith which is threatening to destroy her world. Armed with her trusty combat drone, she must shoot and slash her way through the infinite depths of an ever-changing dungeon, wherein gigantic bosses, ancient machines, strange ghosts and untold secrets from previous explorers await. There is no backtracking, as the game’s structure follows a procedural combination of pre-built challenge rooms, not unlike the Binding of Isaac.

14th October 2020, Montpellier, France - Developer Flying Oak Games and publisher Dear Villagers (Recompile) have announced that the fast-paced rogue-platformer ScourgeBringer today got a brand new “Fast-Paced Action” trailer, alongside the launch of a free demo on Nintendo Switch and Xbox One.

Additionally, the team revealed a new “Supporter Pack” version of the game and confirmed that pre-orders on Nintendo Switch are now live now ahead of its full launch on 21st October for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Game Pass for Console and PC, Epic, GOG and out of Steam Early Access (PC, Mac, Linux).

ScourgeBringer hit the Steam top 20 bestseller charts when it entered Early Access back in February and is currently also available in Game Preview for Game Pass for PC.

Launch update highlights:
The Beyond: a new secret Realm with two new bosses
Chaos Roots: a new post-game mode, with different run modifiers and harder difficulty
System revamps: a new gun modification systems with weapon mods; a revamped item system, offering upgrades like shields

22nd July 2020, Montpellier, France - French developer Flying Oak Games, composer Joonas Turner (Nuclear Throne, Downwell) and publisher Dear Villagers are proud to announce that the fast-paced rogue-platformer ScourgeBringer is getting another major update today titled “The Old World”, which will also be the last major content update before the full game’s launch later this year

The Old World update highlights:

- Explore “The Old World”, a brand new realm
- New enemies, 2 new mini bosses and a new boss
- A new skill tree branch
- Revamp of existing skills
- More difficulty options for new and existing players
- New achievements
- A new room type with new challenges
- General fixes and improvements

The game is currently available on PC via Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Pass for PC and will see a full launch in 2020 for PC, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
