NBA 2K21 #2KRatings Tip Off Today

Time to get angry!

2K today announced the beginning of the long-awaited NBA 2K21 ratings reveal, starting with LeBron James (98), NBA 2K21’s highest-rated player and NBA Finals MVP, and the Los Angeles Lakers championship starting squad, including Anthony Davis (96), Danny Green (76), Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (76) and Alex Caruso (75). 2K says the unskippable ads in NBA 2K21 are a mistake, and will be removed

Skipping out

Just a few days ago, we found out that NBA 2K21 was running unskippable ads, which didn't exactly make players happy. This wasn't the first time that this happened either. Thankfully, the issue is about to be squashed, as 2K says the ads were a mistake, and they'll be removed. Check out the company's full statement below.

"As many are aware, in recent years ads have been integrated into 2KTV segments. (These ads were) not meant to run as part of the pre-game introduction. This will be fixed in future episodes. Thanks for your continued feedback."

Unskippable ads returns once again, this time in NBA 2K21

After these messages...

NBA 2K20 faced backlash for featuring unskippable ads in the full, paid version of the game. 2K eventually removed those spots from the game after apologizing for the issue. Now those same ads appear to be back, this time in 2K21.

NBA 2K21 hasn't been out all that long, but players are already being frustrated by unskippable ads. Players have to sit back and let a full ad play out before they can edit their lineups or move on. Obviously this has people even more frustrated than last time, as it seemed like 2K was moving away from ads like this after the last fiasco.

2K is yet to comment on the matter, but hopefully they end up taking the same path as they did with last year's game.
