A bit of sport

Looking for a bit of virtual sport? NACON wants you to know that they have two new offerings on the Switch. One's quite violent, and the other is standard sporting fodder. Check out details on both in the press release below.

NACON has announced that two of its premier sports titles, Neopica’s Hunting Simulator 2 and Big Ant Studios’ Tennis World Tour 2, have launched today on Nintendo Switch™. Explore stunning natural habitats and track down over 33 animal species in Hunting Simulator 2 or settle fierce rivalries online or locally on the realistic courts of Tennis World Tour 2. Each game is also available on PlayStation®4, Xbox One and PC via Steam.

In Hunting Simulator 2, you explore bigger, more varied and more spectacular natural environments thanks to completely redesigned graphics and sound effects. The game provides many hours of challenges and immersion among the flora and fauna of some of the most beautiful areas of Europe and the United States. There are over 33 animal species to find in Hunting Simulator 2. The artificial intelligence for each species has had significant work put in to recreate their unique and realistic behaviours.

Via an all-new interface, hunters can also choose every piece of their gear from over 70 weapons and accessories, as well as 90 official clothing items faithfully recreated from the sport's top specialist brands:

Weapons: Winchester, Browning, Sako, Tikka, Verney-Carron, Barrett, Bear Archery, Beretta
Outfits and accessories: Bushnell, Kryptek, SJK, Ligne Verney-Carron, Browning, Beretta

Tennis World Tour 2 invites fans to play a realistic tennis game that faithfully transcribes the specific aspects of the sport and its competitive nature. Many of the game's aspects have been completely redesigned, and having more animations has increased the game's fluidity and realism.

Tennis World Tour 2 lets you play as 38 top tennis players so you can make your mark on the best-known courts, such as the Estadio Manolo Santana of the Mutua Madrid Open, the OWL ARENA from the Halle Open, and the Philippe-Chatrier, Suzanne-Lenglen and Simonne-Mathieu courts from Roland-Garros. The game also includes a Career Mode that lets you create your own player, with a card system for temporarily influencing player statistics so you can get the upper hand when you play important points.

Finally, there is an online mode so players can challenge each other in singles or doubles. For the more competitive players out there, a match ranking system has been introduced, so players can be part of leagues and take on other players at the same level.

Tennis World Tour 2 "Features" video released

Tennis tips

NACON and Big Ant Studios are proud to present a video of Tennis World Tour 2 highlighting its numerous new features. The game will be available from September 24th on PS4, Xbox One and PC, and the 15th of October on Nintendo SwitchTM.

Tennis World Tour 2 offers several new features and improvements to give players an immersive experience. The card system is back, orientated more around gameplay. With 5 cards available at the beginning of the match, the player will need to think tactically and use them at key moments: increased stamina, a more precise service, or the reduction of the competitor’s power by some points, these are crucial in swinging a close match.

The career mode of Tennis World Tour 2 lets you manage every aspect of your career on your journey to become rank 1: from the choice of appearance, to staff recruitment, and the organization of each season, leave nothing to chance if you want to win points and advance to the most prestigious tournaments.

The pace of the game has been improved by the addition of our precision return mechanic. Correctly understanding the rhythm of the rally will allow you to optimize the power and precision of your returns. Additionally, several types of courts are available, which influence both the ball and the players. Adapt your game to the area and the weather conditions to maximize your chances of picking up the win!

Finally, the online mode is also back. More stable and complete, it includes new features like double matches and the solo ranked mode.

With more realistic gameplay and the chance to play as the biggest tennis stars in world-famous competitions, Tennis World Tour 2 is a simulation made to please both tennis fans and demanding gamers.
