DuckTales Remastered returns to the Wii U eShop

Bless me bagpipes!

While the retail version of DuckTales Remastered for Wii U can still be found out in the wild, the Wii U eShop version disappeared on Aug. 9th, 2019. The same went for all digital storefronts, as the downloadable version of the game was delisted. You don't have to be sad about missing out anymore though, as the game has now returned!

Capcom has announced that DuckTales Remastered is once again available on all the digital storefronts that it originally appeared on, including the Wii U eShop. A Switch port of the game would certainly be lovely, but this is definitely better than nothing. If you need a refresher on the game, you can check out Capcom's blog here.

RUMOR: Nintendo approached Disney about adding Kingdom Hearts' Sora to Smash Bros. Ultimate, but was shot down

Disney just sounds like a Sora loser

Here's a heartbreaking rumor for both Smash Bros. and Kingdom Hearts fans, and it comes from former Game Informer editor Imran Khan.

On a recent episode of the Kinda Funny Gamescast, a discussion of Smash Bros. Ultimate comes up. According to Khan, Nintendo "approached Disney" about adding Sora from Kingdom Hearts to Smash Bros. Ultimate. You'd think the inclusion would be a match made in heaven, but apparently that's not the case.

While we don't have specifics on why the deal didn't go through, Khan speculates that Disney Japan was specifically responsible for blocking the character's inclusion. That's definitely a shame to hear, but hopefully Disney comes around some day.

If you want to hear the segment for yourself, you can listen in at the 26:50 mark below. The discussion goes on until about the 29 minute mark.

TT Games shares their love for Switch, says LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga runs like a dream on the platform

Big fans of Switch

TT Games has a very long history with Nintendo platforms, and they're continuing that line with LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga on Switch. In a NintendoEverything interview, TT Games' James Burgon and Arthur Parsons talk about their work on the Switch version of the game, as well as the Switch in general. Check out what they had to say below.

James Burgon: “It’s been really good actually. The first build that we had on Switch ran like a dream, so it’s great. With the new technology, we started off and had that in mind because Switch is one of our biggest platforms actually in the US, so we really want to do it justice on that platform.”

Arthur Parsons: “We love Switch. We love Nintendo. TT loves Nintendo, right? If you go back to the original Star Wars games with the Complete Saga which is one of the first game that I worked on back in 2006 – those games and Indy 1, and that kind of stuff, they were on Wii and then the Wii U. TT has been really good about doing the same game across all platforms without having to make it so much worse because we’ve been doing this for a long, long time. So the Switch, that’s not a challenge for us. Yeah there’s different technical hardware and software things with all consoles, but we work hard to make sure the experience is as good as it can be on all platforms including Switch.”
