News on the Mortal Kombat movie coming later today

Info inkoming

Just a few days back, we learned that the Mortal Kombat movie is going to see release in theaters and on HBO Max on the same day. We just don't know when that day is. Perhaps that news will come tomorrow.

The producer on the Mortal Kombat movie has taken to Twitter to reveal that information on the film is coming at some point today. No hints at what it is, so it could be a teaser trailer, release date, or something else altogether. No matter what, it'll be nice to finally get some new details.

Raiden's voice actor from Mortal Kombat 11 claims Bruce Campell is involved in the next round of DLC

The saga continues...

I don't know that we've ever covered a rumor that has been as back-and-forth as the Ash Williams/Evil Dead rumor for Mortal Kombat 11. We've heard so many confirmations and denials of the story for well over a year now, and the last tidbit pointed us in the direction of the collaboration not happening. Now today we get a very straightforward confirmation from someone directly involved with the game.

Richard Epcar, the voice actor behind Raiden, recently hosted a live-stream event. He was asked all sorts of questions during the stream, including one about Bruce Campbell being involved in Mortal Kombat 11. Epcar's answer is very clear and to the point.

"Oh that's right, Bruce Campbell will be in Mortal Kombat. That's right, he's going to be part of the new package."

Now, that does leave a little wiggle room for just who Campbell will be voicing. Obviously the long-standing rumor puts him as Ash in the Evil Dead/Army of Darkness series. Epcar doesn't specifically mention those films, but it's hard to imagine they'd bring in Campbell to voice anyone else.

Now we're at the point where we just have to sit and wait once again! Hopefully this time we get the final word, instead of another denial.

Mortal Kombat 11 pulled from EVO Online following allegations of abuse tied to the event's co-founder
