The saga continues...

I don't know that we've ever covered a rumor that has been as back-and-forth as the Ash Williams/Evil Dead rumor for Mortal Kombat 11. We've heard so many confirmations and denials of the story for well over a year now, and the last tidbit pointed us in the direction of the collaboration not happening. Now today we get a very straightforward confirmation from someone directly involved with the game.
Richard Epcar, the voice actor behind Raiden, recently hosted a live-stream event. He was asked all sorts of questions during the stream, including one about Bruce Campbell being involved in Mortal Kombat 11. Epcar's answer is very clear and to the point.
"Oh that's right, Bruce Campbell will be in Mortal Kombat. That's right, he's going to be part of the new package."
Now, that does leave a little wiggle room for just who Campbell will be voicing. Obviously the long-standing rumor puts him as Ash in the Evil Dead/Army of Darkness series. Epcar doesn't specifically mention those films, but it's hard to imagine they'd bring in Campbell to voice anyone else.
Now we're at the point where we just have to sit and wait once again! Hopefully this time we get the final word, instead of another denial.
