Etrian Odyssey Nexus players find 'Servant of Darkness' class

Etrian Odyssey Nexus players in Japan have found something quite interesting. For lack of a better term, they've discovered a new class called Servant of Darkness. Here's all the details.

- sidegrade to a character’s current class
- boosts every stat
- changes the character’s Force Break and Force Boost into those of the Servant of Darkness class
- "Procession of the Dead” is the Servant of Darkness’ unique Force Break
- this revives all fallen allies with 1 HP and does a varying amount of damage depending on how many people were revived
- Servant of Darkness does have several unique portraits
- the unlock requirements for the pseudo-class are unknown
- it might have something to do with the amount of guild cards, play time length, difficulty settings, and other things

I could listen to Yuzo Koshiro's music from now until the end of time and never get tired of it. Recently he shared three more tracks from Etrian Odyssey Nexus in his classic FM style. I really can't get enough!

Etrian Odyssey X facing shortages in Japan

You'd think after putting out so many Etrian Odyssey titles, Atlus would have a better idea of what to ship to retailers for a new installment. That doesn't seem to be the case, as reports of Etrian Odyssey X being sold out have surfaced.

The game just launched yesterday in Japan, and multiple retailers are already completely out of stock. According to Media-Create, the game saw a 70% sell-through rate on just day one alone, which would explain why retailers are devoid of stock today.

Atlus has already apologized for the situation on their official website, and confirmed that more stock will be heading to retailers soon. They also remind fans that they can hop on the 3DS eShop and get a digital version right now.

Yuzo Koshiro shares FM, chiptune-style version of Etrian Odyssey X's battle theme

I really do think Yuzo Koshiro is my favorite composer in the game industry. How he continues to pump out absolutely amazing tunes after SO many years and SO many games is beyond me. It's obvious he just loves creating music and is always inspired to top himself.

If you want to hear the regular version of the battle theme in Etrian Odyssey X, we've shared it once again below.

Etrian Odyssey X - Etrian Odyssey III battle theme remix

I haven't even played Etrian Odyssey III, but I'd recognize this tune anywhere. Looks like Extrian Odyssey X is getting a remix of the classic battle theme from Etrian Odyssey III. This version is fun, but I still think the original beats it hands-down!
