Unreal Life launching for Switch in Japan on May 14th, western release coming “within a few months”

Previously announced to be playable at the Gemdrops booth at BitSummit 7 Spirits, a Japanese release date has now been provided by developer Hako Seikatsu for the upcoming launch of Unreal Life on Switch. Fully available on May 14th for 2,400 yen, preloads on the eShop will be begin on May 7th with a discounted pre-release price of 2,000 yen. Unreal Life is also planned for release in the west, with the developer confirming it to be available in English "within a few months." Check out the newly released Japanese trailer above!

Slice-of-life adventure 'A Space for the Unbound' announced for Switch, releasing Winter 2020

A Space for the Unbound will be seeing a full release later this year! Announced in the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu, this slice-of-life adventure game from developer Mojiken Studio will be launching sometime this winter for Nintendo Switch. The game will be published by Chorus Worldwide in Japan, and by Toge Productions in the West. Check out the synopsis of the game via the Steam page below!

A Space For The Unbound is a slice-of-life adventure game with beautiful pixel art set in the late 90s rural Indonesia that tells a story about overcoming anxiety, depression, and the relationship between a boy and a girl with supernatural powers.

Follow two high school sweethearts, Atma and Raya, on a journey of self-discovery at the end of their high school years. When a mysteriously supernatural power is suddenly unleashed threatening their existence, they must explore and investigate their town to uncover hidden secrets, face the end of the world, and perhaps learn more about each other.

Metroidvania 'Outbuddies DX' coming to Switch in Summer 2020

Publisher Headup Games has announced that Outbuddies DX will be coming to consoles in Japan, including Nintendo Switch, this Summer. The Japanese release of the game is reportedly 80% complete, and we can likely expect a worldwide release around the same time. The price is currently unknown, but the PC version is available from Steam for $17.99.

Run, gun and explore an open undercity in this otherworldly non-linear Metroidvania adventure about the Old Gods, strange creatures and the remnants of a lost world!

Gunpowder on The Teeth: Arcade has made its way over to Japan from publisher Forever Entertainment after the platform game's initial western launch in July 2019. Available for purchase from the Japanese eShop, you can download the game for ¥499 and 82 MB of storage space. Only the Japanese language is supported in this release.

Streets of Rage 4 (Bare Knuckle IV) has been released on the Japanese eShop

Set for release on April 30th, 2020, Streets of Rage 4 (known as Bare Knuckle IV in Japan) is now available on the Japanese eShop from publisher DotEmu. If you're in the West and can't wait until tomorrow, the English language is supported, so you can purchase the game using a Japanese Nintendo Switch account. The beat 'em up is currently having a launch sale for ¥2,399 until May 3rd, when the price will return to ¥2,599. Buying and downloading the game will take up 3.1 GB of storage space, so make sure you have enough room on your system or SD card before purchasing.
