So far, I have 13 amiibo, all American, except Donkey Kong, that one is Japanese:
-Diddy Kong (the only one I've bought impulsively. F*** You! retailers! You get lots of one that was originally uncommon and now it's one of the most common ones)
-Sonic (got it on June 5, 2015)
-Donkey Kong (got it on July 2, 2015)
-Toad (got it on August 1, 2015)
-Pac-Man (got it on September 28, 2015)
-Olimar (got it on October 1, 2015)
Others I've bought for other purposes are a Link (as a birthday gift for my sister) and 2 Samus for (somewhat succesful) trading (sold one and traded the other one for Sonic).
3 amiibo-compatible games:
-Mario Kart 8 (have 12 out of 19 [originally 10], getting closer to get the all)
-Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (have 12 out of 48+)
-amiibo tap: Nintendo's Greatest Bits (have 13 out of ??)
The ones I'm looking forward the most right now are the Splatoon ones and third-party characters (
Sonic, Mega Man and Pac-Man). Mexican stores be damned, they don't get them even though I keep reading they're some of the most common ones in the US.
My plan with them has always been to get the ones compatible with Mario Kart 8, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, plus Zelda, Dr. Mario, Zero Suit Samus, along with Sonic, Mega Man and Pac-Man pre-MK8 Ver4.0, maybe Ness and Jigglypuff for the sake of having the "SSB Original 12". Now add the Splatoon trio, even though I don't know when I'll get them or the game.
