Can we treat new Pokemon reveals as spoilers?

I was just wondering if we can set new pokemon as spoilers, because at least myself, and I'm sure there are others that want to be surprised when we play the game and see them for the first time.

If they get officially revealed, then they technically aren't spoilers. If you still don't want to see them, then its best to go on a media blackout until the game launches, or try and use the new filtering feature.
