Poppy Playtime getting a movie adaptation

There’s been a bit of a bidding war over the movie rights to Poppy Playtime, which was no doubt spurred on by the game franchise’s success, along with the hit status of the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie and the buzz around game-to-movie adaptations in general. Now we know that Legendary has won the rights to the adaptation, and they’ll be teaming with Mob Entertainment to create a live-action feature.

Legendary is set to develop and produce along with Mob Entertainment and Angry Films’ Don Murphy and Susan Montford. No specific details on this adaptation have been shared at this time, and that goes for writers behind-the-scenes, storyline info, or any actors associated with the project.
