Slippy originally said 'Ribbit' after...every sentence
You think Slippy is annoying now? Did you know that Nintendo considered having him say 'Ribbit' after every sentence?! Thankfully Miyamoto squashed that idea.
StarFox 64 coordinator Yusuke Amano: What made an impression on me with regard to the voices was how much Slippy talks.
StarFox scriptwriter Mitsuhiro Takano: He doesn't say "Ribbit!" (laughs) At first, though, he did say things like, "Do something, ribbit!" but Miyamoto-san said it wasn't cool, so I took it out.
