- The Sonic & All-Stars Racing Wii U demo at GDC was 3 weeks old. They were to busy working on the game to put together a new demo.
- The Wii U version is "probably the best looking one, the most developed."
- The hardware lets them do all kinds of things
- Wii U has a British Bull dog style multiplayer mode

"The Wii U version is "probably the best looking one, the most developed."
...that's not what i heard, either that or the other version are pretty horrible
I played the PS3 one at E3 and it also had issues, but I'm hopeful they've had time to clean those up, as the game's a lot of fun. I hope they're right about the Wii U one!
I heard the WiiU version (demo) had some framerate issues, but nothing more, the game looks beautiful.
I can't wait to see the final version, it's probably one of my launch games.
I really hope they get those framerate issues worked out. Otherwise were just going to have to wait for Nintendo to give us our kart racing fix.
Because what you heard was from someone who was playing an old demo from GDC, as stated above. This is from Sumo themselves who have the latest version of the code available to them in the office.
What's being shown at these events is alpha code, mind. Making a demo takes time, and they didn't have the time to make one based on more recent code. That's what I was trying to get across with these quotes. They talk about the Wii U version in more detail in the actual interview.
If the Wii U version runs at 60fps, then I'll buy it for sure. If not, then I'll just stick with Mario Kart on the Wii and 3DS until the Wii U Mario Kart eventually comes out.
Confirm Kirby on a Warp Star and I'll get excited for the Wii U version. That's all it will take to get me to get it on Wii U instead of 360. A Nintendo character, but Kirby seems logical for his anniversary and Kirby Air Ride.
"The Wii U version is "probably the best looking one, the most developed.""
That's bullsh*t. I saw your demo. 20fps is NOT anywhere close to what should look like "the most developed"...
ITP: Early demos are finished games.
@MoldyClay I'm getting the Wii U version anyway - but YES, Kirby would be awesome! My little sis would frickin' love playing this game with me then.
Superior version ftw.
for now , it doesn't look good , i don't think they truly want to squash all their sales potential so i hope it's already improved . Usually when sumo mess up , they do it loud and clear dirt f1 wii style , so the fact that it is not worse as it is right now , ironically it's a good thing. As for the bulldog thing .... what ?

It was an OLD demo, using old code! First thing listed in the details, guys. They where talking about the latest code they have at the offices.
As someone who's seen many early games, I can tell you that frame rates usually improve dramatically pver the course of development as code is optimized for the hardware. The frame rate of SASRT in April was horrendous, but by the E3 demo it had been improved dramatically. Sonic Colors likewise had a TERRIBLE frame rate at E3, but was smoothed to near perfection by PAX Prime in August.
