Capcom has 'no plans' for Miiverse support for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

When Capcom was asked about Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate having Miiverse support, such as a community in the Miiverse, here's what Yuri L. Araujo, Associate Online/Community Specialist at Capcom U.S.A. had to say.

You guessed it: no plans at this time. But I got it - I will "bring it up around the office. Pester some folks. Call in a favor" for ya.

Miiverse interaction, especially a community, really makes a lot of sense for a game like Monster Hunter. Let's hope at the very least, we see the game get community support. Thanks to Brian for the heads up!

I feel like Community support will be in every WiiU game, regardless.

Yeah it seems like every single game automatically gets a community, even the low budget shovelware games. I guess they just mean they haven't put any achievement type messages in.

I'd love some serious Miiverse support in this game!

I want Miiverse in everything, including my soup!

Miiverse community had better be a given for Monster Hunter. They need to do everything they can. It needs to be March already.

They really need to have it in every game.

Well it'll get its own community page on Miiverse itself (I'm pretty sure the whole point is that every game automatically gets a Miiverse community page), I think this just means no in-game integration. Not really sure I'd see much use for in-game Miiverse integration for Monster Hunter.

This needs a community with screenshots.

I think all titles automatically get a miiverse community page. So must be miiverse integration capcom not planning to support and thats fine by me really.

The community aspect is great. It's like free advertising.

Of course you don't Crapcom...

I really doubt there is enough time to add heavy miiverse functionality to the game, all this remaining time should be for bug testing.

I mean it makes so much sense. It's so obvious that MH is the perfect game for Miiverse. It should have been a given really Capcom.

But I get it, developing process being what they are, you didn't necessarily have time or ressources for this. But when it comes to updating the game so that it has some kind of Miiverse functionality (at least a community), there is no excuse.

Just do it because it's going to be expected by absolutely everyone. It's a perfect match.

The Q&A team is completely different than the developing team. Case in point: SEGA All Stars Racing Transformed (The developer makes patches but it is the Q&A's responsibility to test these patches out and find bugs.)

The game actually comes out in Japanese in less than two weeks. There's nothing they would change before the release now. Only through an update later.

Question: Why do people continue to reward Capcom by purchasing their games? It just seems that Capcom is not listening to their customers at all. It also seems that there is a schizm between what Capcom wants and thinks is good and what the gamers want and think is a good game. Capcom could maximize profits if it decided to focus on making games that make gamers happy instead of making games that make them happy.

Conclusion: Capcom is happy to take gamer's cash yet when in the game is in the design process they couldn't care less about the fan's great ideas. Even if it makes their games better. They're happy with the money that comes from those who'll buy the game regardless. This is not a path for success in the gaming industry.. It's the path to bankruptcy.

Resolving Action: Don't buy Capcom's games until they learn to think more about the people playing their games and what we want or don't and go bankrupt.

@lazerhaze

"Question: Why do people continue to reward Capcom by purchasing their games?"

1. Because some of their game is actually worth playing (e.g. Monster Hunter, Ghost Trick, to a lesser extent, Dragon's Dogma).

2. Their fighting games are crappy, but they bring hype.

Yes, but it takes time to implement new features and then fully test them. There is a point in the development where adding new features is out of the question for lack of time.

Is it laziness or is it just no announcement until things are set?

With Capcom you never know.

Seems like laziness if you ask me. Just looking back at how the 3ds one has no online (even a basic match making) or the fact that the Wii U controller interface is a port from the 3ds version says everything you need. Hopefully miiverse support on the 3ds comes out before MH4 because if any MH would have it, that'd be the one.
