And I also noticed today that the Wii U Transfer Tool is already available in Wii Shop Channel.

Sammet, do you know if the NNID can be changed later or is the name created final and unchangeable? Thanks.

As far as I know you cannot change your NNID (like on PSN), however you can change your display name that's attached to your Mii whenever you want.

Your Mii name is displayed when you make a post on Miiverse with your NNID in smaller letters after it.
