Wii U secrets you might not know

If you press X to switch WaraWara Plaza to the GamePad, you can use ZL and ZR to spin the game icons around freaking all of the Miis out. Also, if you pan to the top of WaraWara Plaza, you can see some of the icons that float around behind the channel menu floating above the Miis.

The Miis in WaraWara Plaza express the emotion chosen alongside the message in Miiverse when they talk.

The GamePad excepts many headphones that include microphones as headsets including the headphones that come with iPhones and iPods. Rocketfish does make official Wii U headsets as well, though.

i guess instead of "excepts" it would be "accepts"?? because you can use any headphone+mic as a headset on the wii u

Yeah, my bad. Should have been "accepts", I fixed it in the article, thanks.

It just means many wired headset with a mic will work when plugged in the GamePad's headphone jack. You can use Apple branded ones, and Rocketfish branded ones, etc. This is pretty standard stuff.

I've been using a standard 3.5mm phone headset for Black Ops 2. I use the Wii remote setup and have to plug it the gamepad set up on the coffee table. The strange thing is that when it is plugged in friends can hear me but I have to unplug it to hear them. Think I'll have to try some other options sometime. I wish bluetooth worked for it (maybe in a later patch).

I thought when you close the tab you're viewing.. the history is cleared o.o

@dusk, you are correct. The wii u essentially doesnt keep history, just cookies.

While messing around with the Miis on Wara Wara Plaza, I just noticed that the people you follow are off to side.

@amir_zwara

Yeah. Which is why there's no clear history function because the history is kept per tab and when the tab is closed it's gone. So what the article says isn't quite true:

Don’t plan on viewing any porn or other sensitive sites through the Wii U’s Internet browser unless you want everybody using the console to know, or don’t plan on keeping any bookmarks. While there is a separate clear cookies option, clearing your history can only be done by completely deleting the browser’s save data including settings and bookmarks. This is particularly unusual because the 3DS (and I believe even the Wii) browser has a regular clear history option just like every other decent browser for the past 10 years.

Also if you want to watch stuff and not want people to know about it.. you could just make a new mii and use that for your private viewing and have it to require the password for every time you choose this user. Each mii has their own browser save files

I see that the person probably missed the idea that ZombiU tries to convey.

I saw RMC's mii hanging out around the Nintendoland Icon.
