I have a confession: I'm much more excited for this than Rayman Legends, so if it comes out on Wii U Ubisoft comes out ahead in my book. If not, I'll settle for PS3. If they bump development to PS4 and I can't buy it at all, I'm never buying another Ubisoft game again. Until Beyond Good and Evil 2; let's be honest--I won't boycott that game.

still gonna buy the PC version. AC3 has burned me on wiiu versions of multiplatforms, from ubi at least.

The only thing I can think of is how Ubisoft is late with DLC on Wii U for all their games. And I 100% it. Occasional glitch? Yeah, but so did all the platforms. Nothing game breaking.
Edit: I heard it's hard to get a multiplayer match going for some reason, but I haven't touched the multiplayer yet.

Well, I guess with a good gaming PC most games are better in that sense.
What about Wii U features... Off-TV play I know, but anyhing else?
Never played it on other versions. Not saying it has less bugs, just saying it didn't seem to have enough to seem like there were tons that came about just because it was ported to Wii U.
Other than Off-TV play, you can choose to clear the HUD off of the TV since it's all on the GamePad. Menus and cutscenes are shown on both TV and GamePad with inventory being touch screen enabled. So standard third party effort, but that's all you really need.

Definitely compensation for delaying Rayman Origins and personally I think they made good on it. Lets just hope this becomes a trend.
If the Wii U version wasn't set in stone at the time (I doubt it was) I don't think they'd want to announce it yet.
Although this likely wasn't planned as a port due to the backlash from delaying Rayman, delaying Rayman is ironically a perfect example of how not all ports are planned ahead of time. Sometimes they wait until the game is about to go Gold before deciding.
I played on the 360 and WiiU and didn't see any difference. My only issue was that the joysticks on the gamepad seemed to have too much of a deadzone for that game. I had to tilt the joystick quite a bit just to get my guy to move. Oh and i think i tried and tried to get a match online and never did. My internet usually has a closed nat and i have trouble with online games so i figured it was a mix of my internet and lack of players that kept me from finding a match.
Gamestop, Best Buy, now Amazon... They can't be all wrong.

All is forgiven Ubisoft, and for the record there is nothing wrong with AC3 Wii U. It's the best looking version and it plays great, just the multiplayer is a pain in the ass some times like other people have pointed out.
Zero people in the multiplayer, The good DLC for this game is still not out on wiiu when it is already out on the other systems, it crashed like 10 times when I played through it(of course, this could just be the hardware). Achives don't bother me in ubi games, because those asshats don't put achievements in their PC games either (beyond the chapter Uplay ones).
then once we get to games with the next gen systems as the lead platform, I don't want to play the gimped version.
best looking? ahahahahahahah, no. PC is the best looking version.
It's looking more and more like it could happen. Not setting hopes too high but like many have already said, watching the demo this just looks like it was made specifically for gamepad play.
I'm gonna say that's the hardware. Don't really remember it crashing in ACIII, but I've had it crash on me several times during Darksiders II. Also the browser crashed on me around launch.
I'm sure it was, I was so pissed off, it once crashed my system 4 times in an hour. no other game has crashed for me, and in the system menus I've only had it happen a few times.
Now this is cool! I'd buy it if it turns out well, once I have my Wii U.
Edit: Or maybe not... just rewatched the trailer, I had forgotten about the dudebro-ey violence :/
How exciting, I'm sure it will be just like all the other 3rd party ports. Full of choppy frame rate and inferior visuals.
Well let's give them a chance first. And it's good that they had older games to test the waters and learn, so the technical stuff should get better now. But I still don't know what type of game it is exactly.
