I saw this yesterday, or the day before. This sounds like a pretty interesting feature update for people that like/watch sporting events live, but as someone without cable TV I can't test it out.

Does it make it faster?

@Kempatsu No kidding. I like using it now and then, but the loading is terrible.

My sentiments exactly. If it were speedier or if the Wii U could actually run 2 things at once, this would be the number 1 app hands down.

I use it every now and then. It does feel like it's faster but that could also be because I changed my ISP a month ago. I tried it during the Super Bowl and the loading was awful.

bah! Update for TVii? I hope it doesn't make me update it unless I actually try to boot up the Nintendo TVii because I myself don't have cable since I got rid of it this past summer. There is no reason to have cable unless you enjoy those scripted reality shows then that's about it. Netflix and Amazon Prime is good enough for me :)

*meanwhile in EU*...So much for 2013 release, not that I can see myself using it once it is here, just knowing it CAN be used and not just an unusable icon on the menu would be enough.

Or you have data limitations... :-(
