That's a lot of Wiisystems!

In a news article regarding the Wii on the official German Nintendo
Website, they state the following:

” Doch selbst, wenn du nicht gleich eine Wii-Konsole abbekommst, ist
noch nicht alles verloren. Wir liefern bis zum Ende des Jahres 2006 vier
Millionen Wii-Konsolen weltweit aus und nochmal sechs Millionen bis zum
März 2007. Die Geschäfte werden natürlich auch zwischen den Jahren
regelmäßig beliefert.”

which translates to:

“Even if you don’t get a Wii-console immediately, not everything is
lost. We ship 4 million Wii-Consoles until the end of 2006 worldwide and
even 6 million more until March 2007. The stores will of course get new
units between the years”.
