What's up with Pokemon Diamond/Pearl online play in the US?

Chris Kohler raises a very good (and scary) point when it comes to the US release of Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. Just yesterday we published Nintendo’s press release for the titles, which confirmed their US release (April 22nd). What Mr. Kohler noticed was the lack of any online talk. Local wireless multiplayer is mentioned, but not a single word of online play. We also know that it wasn’t mentioned in the latest Nintendo Power, having covered that a few days ago as well. Could Nintendo really be planning on nixing online play for the US release? This would be an inexcusable decision in my eyes, and I am sure many of you would agree. Do we have any reason to worry, or are we just being paranoid?!

That’s your food for thought while I head to bed. Today around 4:30 pm EST I will be heading into NYC for Nicky Hill’s film project. If you listen to our podcast, you have definitely heard him talking about it. Bethany was nice enough to take the site over this afternoon, so while I am out, you will still get your news fix! I’ll take back over once I return home. I’ll make sure to post a reminder as I am heading out this afternoon as well. I hope all is well with everyone, and that you have a wonderful Thursday morning!
