Final Fantasy: Then and Now - part 1

Has the Final Fantasy series changed since it originally hit the NES? Well, it has in some ways and it hasn’t in others. The game franchise is still and RPG, but those elements within have been mixed up and shuffled around for the various entries. Square-Enix has even gone back to tweak some Final Fantasy entries into next experiences, via re-releases on the DS. Playing a DS re-release and the original version is a great way to see how the franchise has evolved from the early days to right now.
