I can’t believe Christmas is already here. I feel like I was yelling at Mom Brain for Christmas music before Thanksgiving just last week! Here we are a day away from the big-man’s descent down millions of chimneys. Man, I’m getting way too old for all this stuff. I can’t keep track of what’s going on and when! I just hope I was good enough this year to get a present or two from old saint Nick. Let’s wrap this Friday up and get to the weekend fun, shall we?! See you in a few, short hours.

I guess we’re pretty much done with the big-name software that is going to come out in 2010. The titles we were all looking forward to this year have either come and gone, or managed to get pushed back into 2011. Even if there were a few titles that you wanted to see released but weren’t, there will still tons of others that landed this year and were well worth your time. Again, it was a very good year for gamers around the world.

As I’ve said many a time on this site, I’m not one for making ‘best-of’ lists. My opinion isn’t any more valid than another gamer out there, and I would feel a bit full of myself if I put together a list of titles that wowed me in certain categories. Trust me, I’m a very boring guy. The real stories are with all of you! I’m much more interested in hearing what titles really got your motor going this year, and I’m sure your fellow readers want to hear as well.

If it’s alright with you, I’d like to hear you guys comment on your favorite games of the year. It can be hard to figure out just what games came out over the past 12 months. First off, there were some fantastic titles that I bet many of us have forgotten about, all because they released about 11 and a half months ago. On top of that, there may be titles that released the year prior, but we didn’t get a chance to play them until this year! Unfortunately, we can’t count those on a list of the year’s best.

You’ll have to sift through what you played during 2010, and then give us a few words on what titles you found to be most worth your time. Did a specific portion of a game really exceed your expectations? Did one title stand out above all the others as your go-to game for fun this year? Have a title that was overlooked by many, but you want to speak up for it? All of that is fine by me! Just leave a comment and share your thought’s on gaming’s best to offer in 2010.
