GoNintendo 'End of Day' thought - Nintendogs + Cats = Purchase?

We’ve been having this conversation around the warehouse quite a lot recently. Nintendogs + Cats is going to be a launch title for the 3DS in North America. Even though Nintendo hasn’t confirmed that just yet, we all know that it’s going to happen. I also know that I’m going to be picking that game up day one. I haven’t played an animal sim since my time with the original Nintendogs, and I’m definitely down to go a second round.

To my surprise, a large majority of those at the warehouse aren’t into getting the sequel. I thought that they’d be just as excited about Nintendogs + Cats as I am, but they simply don’t seem too interested. Keep in mind that this is the same gang that loved the first Nintendogs. The overwhelming response from my friends is that they had their fun with the first virtual dog, but they don’t want to go into the experience again. Even when I outline all the new content, they still don’t seem like they’re going to pick up the game.

Hell, the inclusion of cats is enough for me to pick the game up. I also love all the new ideas with the StreetPass features. As I see it, there’s going to be a bunch of new content that’s going to make playing the game more than worth it. I remember having such a great time with the original game, and I’m dying to see how my time will go with a cat at my virtual side.
