Two more Activision-related blurbs coming from the company’s fiscal blowout…

The following comments come from 7 Studios producer Damon Conn…

“Directly affected me. Our music games division really took a hit today. Activision is shutting down the Guitar Hero business as of today. This includes my studio.”

The good news is, a few of the staffers haven’t been let go just yet. The bad news is…Activision is keeping them around due to a lawsuit involving 7 Studios.

Turning to Activision’s more profitable side of business, Blizzard has said that they’re still considering Diablo on consoles. Here’s what Blizzard Entertainment CEO Mike Morhaime had to say on the matter.

“I think you could make an argument that a game like Diablo might play very well on a console. It’s something that we’re actually doing an investigation into to see if that could make sense.”

Of course, no platforms were named specifically. I’d like to think that the Wii was involved in these plans, but I doubt it.
