A portion of a USA Today review…

Mario Sports Mix is a Mario game first, and a sports game second. None of the four sports games are particularly hard to learn, nor are they very deep.
But the behavior within the game is over the top, with lots of pushing, knocking players over and grand-standing. Watching special moves, like Mario dunking a flaming basketball, will be greatly enjoyed by fans of the Mushroom Kingdom games.
