Pachter blames Wii sales comparisons for industry declines

“We believe that the declines were a result of a poor economy, dramatic growth in 2007 and 2008, lower software attach rates for the Wii, the virtual disintegration of interest in the music category, and stubbornly high price points for the major consoles.” - Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter

We showed you Mr. Pachter’s predictions for January earlier today. We’ll see how close he is to the mark this Thursday. Finally, Pachter also said that the industry is set for a rebound when the 3DS launches.
