- StarFox 64 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time pushed the N64 to its limits
- Miyamoto wanted to ‘aim higher’ with remakes, which is a feeling he’s had since both titles launched
- Miyamoto felt the time was right for an OoT remake due to players going through the game in elementary school, and now they’re in their 20s
- Miyamoto had a strong desire to Hyrule Field in 3D
- Miyamoto has said that people make note of how much easier it is to switch weapons/items via the touch screen
- 3D effects should make for an easier judging of depth in StarFox 64
- Iwata Asks feature to focus on Ocarina of Time in the future
