Volition - make a game that's worth stealing, and then worry about piracy

GN Version 3.1

“I don’t think [piracy] is something at the forefront for us. First and foremost, we want to make sure we’re making a game people would want to pirate. Let’s make a game that’s worth stealing, and then we’ll worry about making sure they don’t.” - Volition studio manager Eric Barker

Well, that’s a very interesting approach to game development. Make a game that’s so damn good that people are willing to steal just to get their hands on it. Then make sure that they can’t steal it through piracy! Might be a little dangerous for a studio head to be saying that.
