GameStop says they're 'becoming a technology company'
The following information comes from a GameStop investor conference…
- GameStop is “becoming a technology company”
- plans to introduce a cloud-based gaming service similar to OnLive
- plans to “compete fiercely” with Steam
- plans to expand the gaming service to a variety of mobile devices
- contemplating a GameStop-branded tablet
- “if we feel like we could do a better job of making a tablet, we’ll do that.”
- ‘try it now’ for some games on their website
