EA planned on porting Dead Space 2 to Wii, new Simpsons game...cancelled both

Here’s a double heartbreaker for Nintendo fans. Remember how Dead Space: Extraction came out, it was great, but ended up getting overlooked at retail? I think that had something to do with the lack of interest in an on-rails Dead Space game. Unfortunately, that set the tone for future Dead Space releases on Wii. Through a pair of EA employee LinkedIn profiles, we now know that Dead Space 2 was receiving a Wii port, but this plan was scrapped just a few months later.

On top of that, it looks like there was another entry in the Simpsons game franchise in the works, but that project was also shelved. I thought the latest Simpsons game was the best one yet, and a sequel could have improved on elements that the original screwed up. I guess we’ll never get to see what could have been.
