Cage - More to do with video games than just 'killing people'
“Look at Call Of Duty. How many copies does it sell every year? I’m fine with that. It’s cool. I’m just saying that I’m not happy with an industry that is entirely limited to experiences where all you are doing is shooting. That’s my problem. There is much more we can do with interactivity than just killing people.” - David Cage
Cage is trying to get on my good side again with comments like this. I really do have to agree with him, even if some of his statements are a bit pompous. Not this one, mind you. I think his overall message is a very important one. Games have to move beyond FPS after FPS. There’s more to do in the world of video games than just slaughtering enemies.
