GoNintendo 'End of Day' thought - Well, today turned out to be quite exciting!

Man, after the whirlwind of rumors that hit hard today, I’m in desperate need of some rest! Bed has been calling for the last few hours, and I’m very ready to give in! Can’t wait to see what other crazy rumors pop up tomorrow! See you in a few, short hours.

I honestly don’t even know where to begin. Today has been such a crazy day for Nintendo fans. Here I thought the biggest news of the day would be the NPD numbers, but before they even rolled around, a megaton of rumors started flying everywhere. The thing is, these rumors were coming from big outlets with multiple sources backing them up. I sure hope you’re ready for a Wii successor, because it looks like Nintendo is ready to bring it!

Here’s the rumors that we’ve heard throughout the day…

- More powerful than 360/PS3
- New controller with HD touch screen
- may use Blu-ray
- backwards compatible with Wii
- will support 1080p
- official announcement coming this month
- big reveal at E3 2011
- set to release late 2012
- already shown to publishers
- Nintendo is looking to recapture the core

I’m sure even more rumors about Nintendo’s next-gen platform will come out tomorrow, but we have plenty right now to discuss!
